My Journey

Assalāmu ‘Alaikum wa Rahmatullāhi wa Barakātuh
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

By the infinite mercy of Allah, my spiritual journey began when I was nineteen years old while pursuing my Bachelor of Dental Surgery. During that time, Allah blessed me with a mentor who helped me discover that Islam is not merely about rituals and rules, but about knowing, loving, and building a deeply personal relationship with Allah. For the first time, I came to know my Creator through His own words in the Qur’an. I discovered a Lord who is Most Merciful, who loves, guides, forgives, and cares for His servants. I still remember the tears that filled my eyes. That encounter with the Qur’an changed the direction of my life forever.

From then on, I developed an unquenchable desire to seek knowledge. Like many sincere seekers, my journey included periods of doubt and difficult questions. Yet, by Allah’s mercy, I realised those doubts were never because of Islam itself. They arose from my own limited understanding, misconceptions, or misinformation. Every sincere question became an opportunity to seek knowledge, and every answer strengthened my Yaqeen. The deeper I studied, the more convinced I became that Allah’s guidance is perfect.

As I continued learning and serving others, I began to notice a common pattern. Although people’s struggles appeared different — doubts, sins, broken relationships, emotional pain, or a lack of purpose — in many of them, I saw a reflection of my own journey. I remembered what it felt like to search for life’s biggest questions and long for certainty. I gradually realised that people do not simply need more information. They need hope. They need certainty. Above all, they need to truly know Allah. Many Muslims grow up learning about Allah, yet never have the opportunity to develop a deep, personal relationship with Him. That realisation gave birth to Ad Duha Academy.

The name Ad Duha comes from the beautiful chapter of the Qur’an that reminds us that no matter how dark the night may seem, the morning light will always come by the permission of Allah. Just as Allah brought light into my own life through His mercy, my sincere prayer is that this academy becomes a means of helping others discover that same light.

I do not claim perfection, nor do I consider myself anything more than a student of knowledge. I continue to learn, make mistakes, and strive to grow closer to Allah while serving His creation with sincerity.

If, by Allah’s permission, this humble effort helps even one person know Allah better, strengthen their faith & character, or find hope after darkness, then every effort will have been worthwhile.

“Our Lord, accept this from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”
(Qur’an 2:127)
